The Davis...More disgraceful insinuation by Jeffrey. The Davis-Bacon Act is “noxious?” Naturally, no conservative will ever admit if a liberal measure brings comfort to millions of workers. No conservative is mature enough to seriously weigh the positives that a liberal measure brings. Instead, all arguments (honest or dishonest) must be marshaled in favor of the orthodox conservative position. In Jeff’s little world, we are either cynically hurling meat at “special interests” (ie, American middle and lower class families), or we’re “promoting liberty” (whatever that means). Davis-Bacon’s worker protections are not “at the expense of overall economic well-being.” They are specifically designed to ensure that government contracts pay prevailing wage rates.
