His hatreds will not be denied. It's funny too that he suggest that we need to allow "meritocracy to flourish," yet it's conservatives who constantly want to slash education funding in order to give more and more money we don't have to the rich. Heck, I don't even have children, but at least I'm not selfish enough to demand fewer taxes to shortchange the next generation. That's the selfish rightwing. And lets make one point clear that Jeff is too chicken to address: deeply conservative states do worse on these tests at the same time that they try to blame liberals for their woes. Message to Jeff: your state ranks last in nearly every category imaginable, and education is certainly one of these.
